In a society driven by deadlines, metrics, and perpetual motion, those who are deeply spiritually still often appear strange.

A truly still person is not measured by religious busyness or outward displays. The decisions flow from a quiet, Spirit-led assurance rather than endless analysis. The still person can sense the spiritual atmosphere and intercede for others. These qualities often look like “going slow,” or ’lazy", but in God’s view they are important.

Society equates visible busyness with worth. Yet Jesus Himself set a different standard of rest. The “rest” Jesus offers is not inertia, but Christ-centered stillness that fuels spiritual vitality.

Today’s hyper-efficient world demands constant action. For the still soul, however, silence and solitude are vital. Just as Jesus withdrew to solitary places to pray (Luke 5:16), so must we carve out sacred space.

The stillness becomes a lighthouse, quiet yet unmistakably firm, in a storm-tossed life.

You are special. You are worth it. You are not alone. Never forget that you have been put on this planet for a purpose, and you are sharing this short journey with others.

Your journey unfolds by sovereign design, not by the stopwatch. Keep in mind that a still soul is often alienated, lonley, and mmisunderstood. However, the benefits far outweigh the costs.
